Self-Perceived Effect of Halitosis Related to Awareness of Maintaining Dental and Oral Health on Mask Use During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic

Background: The use of masks which have become part daily activities during the pandemic, course, causes various impacts, one is related to dental and oral health. raises awareness health because unhealthy teeth mouth cause bad breath (halitosis). This study aimed determine self-perceived halitosis in using COVID-19 pandemic youth generation.
 Methods: was an analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. A total 80 research subjects were included this study. Participant inclusion criteria new undergraduate students at Faculty Medicine, Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia willing participate made observations about wearing masks. Observations carried out by interviews online social media applications. Data analysis performed SPSS software version 25.
 Results: majority 18 years old, female, had good when behavior. results showed that there no difference between poor regarding behavior maintaining health, p> 0.05.
